Machine Operator – Full Training Provided Salary: £26,000–£28,000 per annum
Hours: Monday–Friday day/late shift work
Permanent, Full-Time- own vehicle ssential due to location.
We are recruiting for a Machine Operator to join an established manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on, practical work and wants to develop their skills within a supportive manufacturing environment.
No previous machine operating experience is essential, as full training will be provided. We are particularly interested in candidates with a practical mindset, a strong work ethic and the willingness to learn.
The Role Working as part of the manufacturing team, you will be trained to operate production machinery safely and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating and monitoring manufacturing machinery
- Setting up equipment and carrying out basic adjustments
- Checking finished products meet required quality standards
- Following production instructions and health & safety procedures
- Carrying out practical, hands-on manufacturing duties
- Working closely with colleagues to achieve production targets
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
What We’re Looking For You do not need previous machine operating experience, but you should be:
- Hands-on and practically minded
- Comfortable working in a physical manufacturing environment
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Willing and able to learn new skills
- A good team player
- Safety and quality conscious
- Physically fit and comfortable with an active role
- Experienced in manufacturing, engineering, production, warehouse or other practical work would be advantageous, but is not essential
Due to the location of the site, your own transport is required.

Essential Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2 Plumbing & Heating (Level 3 desirable)
- 3+ years’ commercial/industrial experience
- Full UK Driving Licence
- CSCS Card (or eligible)
- Own tools
Desirable (training provided):
- SSSTS/SMSTS
- IPAF & PASMA
- First Aid
- Asbestos Awareness
- Fire Marshal

- Building, testing, and packing finished products

- Reporting any issues and suggesting improvements where possible
What We’re Looking For
- Previous assembly or manufacturing experience is helpful, but not essential
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and work accurately
- Basic computer skills
- A team player who can work in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisation and time management skills
- Willingness to carry out repetitive tasks and stand for periods of time
