A highly regarded Canterbury law firm is looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to join its Commercial Property team. You’ll be joining a close-knit team of four, working alongside an approachable Partner and experienced lawyers in a supportive and collaborative environment.

The role
You’ll provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support across Commercial Property matters, helping the Partner and fee earners keep their cases progressing smoothly.
Your responsibilities will include audio typing and digital dictation, opening and closing files, preparing property documentation, ordering searches, SDLT calculations and submissions, assisting with lease extensions and deeds, obtaining Companies House documents, diary management and liaising with clients, estate agents and other third parties.
What are they looking for?
Previous property experience is important, but Commercial Property experience isn’t essential. If you’re an experienced Residential Conveyancing Legal Secretary looking to broaden your property knowledge and move into Commercial Property, they would be very interested in hearing from you.
You’ll ideally have strong audio typing and document production skills, excellent attention to detail, confident client communication and the ability to manage a busy workload.
This is a fully office-based position in Canterbury. There is no on-site parking, although nearby Park & Ride facilities and train connections make the office easily accessible.
