What would you actually be doing?
Working closely with a Solicitor, you’ll help manage the day-to-day affairs and needs of vulnerable clients.
No two days will necessarily look the same. You could be:

• Speaking with clients and their families
• Liaising with care providers and nursing homes
• Dealing with utility companies and other organisations
• Helping manage financial matters and client assets
• Maintaining spreadsheets and accurate case records
• Helping resolve everyday issues on behalf of clients
• Supporting the Solicitor with the ongoing management of cases
• Visiting clients and care homes once fully trained

The role is office-based in Canterbury, but after training you’ll be getting out to meet clients and attend care homes, giving you more independence and the ability to manage your own diary.

Who could this suit?
Previous Court of Protection experience would be brilliant, but don’t rule yourself out if you haven’t worked specifically within this area.
You may currently work in Private Client, Community Care, legal support, financial administration, benefits/welfare or another casework-focused position. You could also be a Legal Secretary, Legal Assistant or Paralegal with strong transferable skills.

What matters is that you’re organised, accurate, confident communicating with different people and, importantly, have a caring nature and genuinely enjoy helping others.

A driving licence is required due to client and care-home visits.
